FlamesNation prospect update: post-deadline fun and games

The trade deadline is finally, mercifully, behind us. The Calgary Flames didn’t trade away any of their prospects! Let’s see how they’re all doing this week.

Lucas Feuk- LW, AIK, Superelit/Allsvenskan

Gawdin returned from his brief NHL (healthy scratch) stint and put up some numbers. They weren’t high octane offensive efforts – a power play assist, an empty net goal and an empty net assist – but points are points.

Nikolayev has been loaned to the NMHL, the secondary Russian junior league. Now before you panic, we reached out to some colleagues in Russia and were informed that Nikolayev was injured and the loan to the NMHL is about getting him back to up speed before throwing him back into the MHL. It’s fairly standard practice and nothing to be terribly alarmed about.
