Also, a lot of prospects got sick, but that’s a less-fun thing to put in the title.

Finished his season on a strong note, picking up a goal and an assist in the final game of the season against his former team, the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. The third seed Oceanic will face off against the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in the first round of the QMJHL playoffs.

Pavel Karnaukhov – LW/C, CSKA Moscow, KHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date34416201016817.41

ASU doesn’t have a conference so they aren’t playing a conference tournament. Hence, no Koumontzis for another week.

Linus Lindstrom – C/LW, Skelleftea AIK, SHL

Wrapped up the regular season with no points in his final two games. Skelleftea will face off against Djurgardens (Adam Ollas Mattson’s old team) in the first round of the SHL playoffs. It’s worth noting that Lindstrom’s best hockey last season came in the playoffs, where he picked up four points in 16 games, helping Skelleftea reach the finals.

Ryan Lomberg – LW, Stockton Heat

Up to date36621271517927.53
Change from last week20111000 x
Denver quickly dispatched North Dakota in their NCHC quarterfinals. Pettersen picked up a team-leading four shots on goal in the first game, and an assist in the second.

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date5611193020241821.35
Change from last week2011111-0.05
It’s had its ups and downs, but 30 points in a rookie pro season is nothing to scoff at. Finishing somewhere in the 35-40 range would be an extremely promising sign for Phillips.

Brett Pollock – LW/C, Stockton Heat

Change from last week1011000-0.01
Returned from writing exams in Slovakia to assist on an empty net tying goal for Vancouver in their final game of the series. The Giants, who finished the season as Western Conference champions, will face the Seattle Thunderbirds in the first round of the WHL playoffs.
No word on what his grades were, for those curious.

Adam Ruzicka – C/LW, Sudbury Wolves, OHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date6535437843643830.97
Change from last week3628686+1.07
A massive, massive finish to the season for Ruzicka. He put up eight points in the final week of the OHL regular season, including a four-goal game. Since moving to Sudbury, he’s put up 24 goals in 30 games, a 54-goal pace over the course of a full season. The trade may have saved his career, as his performances with Sarnia were very lacklustre.
Sudbury will face Mississauga in the first round.

Kerby Rychel – F, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date5723204328291930.06

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1
Playoffs4011010
Sveningsson and Oskarshamn will play a decisive Game 5 today against AIK for the right to play the SHL’s worst team and win promotion to Sweden’s top league. Sveningsson hasn’t picked up a point since the opening game of the series.

Eetu Tuulola – RW, HPK, SM-Liiga

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe

In classic Eetu fashion, he ended the season with a powerplay goal in his final game of the year. HPK will face TPS in the first round of the Liiga playoffs, starting on the 21st.

Rinat Valiev – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe

Jon Gillies – G, Stockton Heat

Another edition of good Gillies, bad Gillies. He stopped 30 of 32 in Stockton’s first game against Tuscon (.938) but followed it up with a 25/30 performance the next night (.833). Playing both games in a back-to-back probably didn’t help.

Mason McDonald – G, Kansas City Mavericks

Also sick.

Tyler Parsons – G, Stockton Heat

GPTOISV%

Still sitting on the bench while Gillies keeps playing night after night. Pure speculation, but maybe the Flames want Parsons to sit for the time being so they can get a better read on Gillies? I’m really out of ideas at this point.

Nick Schneider – G, Kansas City Mavericks

Tended net for both of KC’s games while McDonald was out. Went 28/30 (.933) in one and 24/29 (.828) in the other.
