One more game, one more shot on goal.

Zach Fischer – RW, Kansas City Mavericks, ECHL

Up to date10000000

After spending the first few weeks of the year in the Stockton press box, Fischer finally made his season and pro debut for the KC Mavericks. He had four penalty minutes.

Spencer Foo – RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date832524224.91
Change from last week2000000-8.3
Nothing for Foo this week.

Glenn Gawdin – RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date840414119.93
Change from last week2202020+6.65
Gawdin has been a handy find for Stockton’s powerplay, picking up two goals on the man advantage this week and three so far on the year.

Josh Healey – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date70000000
Change from last week20000000
Played in both games this weekend.

D’Artagnan Joly – RW/C, Baie-Comeau Drakkar, QMJHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date157613810620.18
Change from last week2101010-1.32
Joly was publicly called out by his coach for underwhelming performances and was a healthy scratch this week. He came back next game to score a goal, score a shootout winner, and get the first star nod. Not a bad response, but his production still leaves a little to be desired. Maybe it’s the spark that kicks off his season.

Pavel Karnaukhov – LW/C, CSKA Moscow, KHL/Zvezda, VHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe

Up to date (VHL)521333318.7
Change from last week2101111-2.07
Back to the VHL for Karnaukhov, who looked like he was finally finding his groove at the KHL level. I don’t pay much attention to the Russian prospects, but I would be interested in knowing why he can’t stick in the KHL.

Morgan Klimchuk – LW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date712321117.08
Change from last week1000000-2.85
Healthy scratched this week. Perhaps it’s due to the back-to-back, but I feel the Heat are starting to lose faith in Klimchuk. He’s been one of their more reliable players during his pro tenure but he’s been consistently underwhelming this year. Not a good sign, but let’s see where this goes.

Demetrious Koumontzis – LW, Arizona State University, NCAA (Independent)

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date816727225.9
Change from last week2055050+11.1
Koumontzis had himself a great weekend, picking up five assists (he also had one taken away, a stat correction from over two weeks ago, which is strange) as Arizona State demolished winless Omaha. He’s been an integral part of the ASU powerplay, picking up all five of his assists this week on the man advantage.

Oliver Kylington – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date834745432.31
Change from last week2112121+3.32
Kylington continues his assault on the AHL, picking up another goal and an assist this week.

Linus Lindstrom – C/LW, Skelleftea AIK, SHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date121011112.67
Change from last week2000000-0.53
Still playing bottom six minutes in the SHL.

Ryan Lomberg – LW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date803322113.28
Change from last week2011010+1.66
An assist for Lomberg on a shorthanded goal.

Andrew Mangiapane – LW/C, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date836966546.49
Change from last week2112211-1.66
Another two-point week for Mangiapane.

Mitchell Mattson – C/LW, Michigan State, NCAA (Big 10)

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date30000000
Change from last week10000000
Just one game out of two for Mattson this week. Perhaps being a healthy scratch as a 20-year-old freshman is not a great sign.

Adam Ollas Mattsson – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date80222119.96
Change from last week2022211+9.96
Picked up his first points in North American pro hockey on two assists. He’s been one of two defensive standouts for Stockton (the other being Kylington), so it’ll be intriguing to see how much he’ll improve over the course of the season.

Mathias Emilio Pettersen – C/LW, Denver Pioneers, NCAA (NCHC)

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date426845372
Change from last week
Denver didn’t play this week, so MEP can keep his pristine 72 NHLe.

Matthew Phillips – RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date50000000
Change from last week10000000
Still can’t factor into the lineup on a regular basis. I wonder if the Flames might be considering an ECHL stint for Phillips, just so he can get regular playing time.

Martin Pospisil – C/LW, Sioux City Musketeers, USHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date10514191114643.62
Change from last week3134141-5.58
Another strong week from Pospisil. Still leads the USHL in scoring.

Brett Pollock – LW/C, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date50000000
Change from last week10000000
Another player who has been in the rotating healthy scratch duty.

Rushan Rafikov – D, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, KHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date1612322212.36
Change from last week3000000-2.87
Nothing doing.

Milos Roman – C, Vancouver Giants, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date166713710420.12
Change from last week2123131+2.43
After slowing down last week, Roman got right back up to speed, picking up points on all three of Vancouver’s goals this week.

Adam Ruzicka – C/LW, Sarnia Sting, OHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date143111468426.49
Change from last week3044110+2.41
Ruzicka is back into point-per-game territory after picking up four assists this week. He is also currently shooting around ~7%, which is very low for him. Expect a goal explosion sometime soon.

Kerby Rychel – F, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date843744334.86
Change from last week2000000-4.98
His early season success appears to just be a blip on the radar. Hasn’t score in four games.

Filip Sveningsson – LW, IK Oskarshamn, Allsvenskan

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date12751248448.87
Change from last week10110000
A noise assist in one game this week, but still keeps him at a point per game in a men’s league as a 19-year-old.

Eetu Tuulola – RW, HPK, SM-Liiga

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date18591477428.83
Change from last week4336342+13.39
An absolutely explosive week for Tuulola, who struggled to pick up goals despite putting up a volume of shots in the early goings. It appears his luck is finally balancing out.
His shooting percentage is still down 5% from last year, so perhaps there’s still more to come.

Rinat Valiev – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date30000000
Change from last week20000000
Technically a prospect! He’s 23 and one of the players acquired when the Flames traded away Brett Kulak. Unfortunately, I forgot about him last week. He’s been whatever.

Dmitri Zavgorodniy – C/LW, Rimouski Oceanic, QMJHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date171016261318935.62
Change from last week3145242+0.69
Two powerplay goals this week for Big Z.
A reminder: no, Alexis Lafreniere and Zavgorodniy do not play on the same line. The two are separated at 5v5, and are usually only ever on the ice at the same time during man advantage (PP and 6v5) situations.

Jon Gillies – G, Stockton Heat

GPTOISV%
Up to date6317.870.831
Change from last week2105-0.02
A week to forget for Gillies. First, Stockton blew a 4-0 lead against San Jose, but he redeemed himself by stopping 12 of 14 shootout shots to get the win. His second game was disastrous. Put in again on the back-to-back against Bakersfield, he was lit up to the tune of eight goals in two periods.

Mason McDonald – G, Kansas City Mavericks

GPTOISV%
Up to date159.960.926
Change from last week
Came off the IR to put up a stellar performance in his season debut, stopping 25 of 27.

Tyler Parsons – G, Stockton Heat

GPTOISV%
Up to date3146.580.831
Change from last week000
The reason Gillies had to suit up in both games on the back-to-back was due to the uncertain health of Parsons. He was on the bench in the first game, but was out the next game for undisclosed reasons (the Heat PTO’d former pal Ryan Farragher). He took a pretty big hit in his last start, so that’s potentially why, but there’s no details so far.

Nick Schneider – G, Kansas City Mavericks

GPTOISV%
Up to date4242.820.907
Change from last week159.82-0.004
It’s a weird state of affairs when Schneider and McDonald are the two best goalies in the Flames organization. Jokingly, but not at all jokingly at the same time.
