Less than 24 hours after securing a series-opening victory over the Bakersfield Condors, the Stockton Heat will return to action on Wednesday evening to try and go up 2–0 in the Pacific Division semifinals.
@Jakob Pelletier, @Emilio Pettersen, and @Walker Duehr scored for the Heat in their 3–1 victory over the Condors in Game 1. Stockton outshot Bakersfield 29 to 28 at Stockton Arena on Tuesday.
American Hockey League Goaltender of the Year @Dustin Wolf continued his excellent debut season, making 27 saves in his first professional playoff game. He’ll be back between the pipes on Wednesday, with @Daniil Chechelev backing up.
@Dino Kambeitz scored the lone Bakersfield goal in Game 1, with @Brad Malone and 2019 first-round pick @Philip Broberg picking up the helpers.
Many of Stockton’s top players are still in search of their first AHL playoff goals. @Matthew Phillips, @Connor Zary, @Glenn Gawdin, @Luke Philp, and @Juuso Valimaki have yet to find twine in the Calder Cup Playoffs, although Gawdin and Valimaki both picked up an assist in Game 1.
The Heat need just two more wins over the Condors to win this best-of-five playoff series. You’ll be able to watch Game 2 from Stockton Arena live on AHL TV at 7:30 p.m. MT.

Check out Pettersen’s power move to get behind the Bakersfield defence before beating @Stuart Skinner in the final minutes of Tuesday’s first period.
