The Stockton Heat will look to build off Sunday’s commanding victory over the San Jose Barracuda when they take on the Tucson Roadrunners at 6:30 p.m. MT on Tuesday evening.
@Dustin Wolf returned to the Heat lineup on Sunday after his brief stint in the National Hockey League. The 20-year-old goaltender picked up right where he left off, pitching a shutout deep into the third period and ultimately coming away with a 33-save performance in a 4–1 win.
@Alex Gallant, @Luke Philp, @Jakob Pelletier, and @Justin Kirkland scored in the win for Stockton, which remained atop the AHL’s Pacific Division and improved to 19–3–3.
Pelletier’s goal was a highlight-reel marker which came off a beautiful stretch pass from linemate @Matthew Phillips, who has 22 points in 22 games this season:
The day after Stockton dispatched San Jose, the American Hockey League named Wolf its “goaltender of the month” for December. Wolf led all AHL goalies with a 7–0–0 record and a .951 save percentage during the holiday month.

Led by the likes of @Matias Maccelli, @Janis Moser, and @Victor Soderstrom, the Roadrunners currently sit fourth in the Pacific Division with a 10–9–2 record. Both Maccelli and Moser are currently up in the NHL with the Arizona Coyotes, however, leaving the Roadrunners with some holes both at forward and defence.

Players to watch

Stockton — When is @Jakob Pelletier getting called up? You’d have to think he might be able to provide the Calgary Flames with more than either of these two players …
Tucson — Watch out for @Bokondji Imama, one of the most fearsome players in the AHL who can also do more with his hands than just fight. The 25-year-old bruiser was one of the last cuts at Coyotes training camp and scored nine goals and 14 points in just 31 AHL games with the Ontario Reign last season. He has two goals and four points in 19 contests this year.
