<p>Monahan, 27, currently ranks 11th on the Flames in scoring with 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) in 63 games. He hasn&#8217;t recorded a point since scoring a power-play goal against the Winnipeg Jets back on Feb. 21.</p>
<p>&#8220;You&#8217;ve got to adjust to different situations,&#8221; Monahan told reporters after Tuesday&#8217;s skate. &#8220;Like I said, I&#8217;ve got to be better. Tonight&#8217;s got to be a good start for me.&#8221;</p>

<p>Monahan is expected to centre the Flames&#8217; fourth line with @Milan Lucic and @Trevor Lewis. Newly-acquired forward @Ryan Carpenter is unlikely to dress against Colorado after making his Flames debut in Saturday&#8217;s 9–5 win over the Edmonton Oilers.</p>
<p>In 654 career regular-season games with the Flames, Monahan has 212 goals and 461 points. He&#8217;s signed through the 2022–23 season at a $6.375 million cap hit.</p>
