Notes and expectations

Calgary’s hoping to get at least one of their top scorers back for this series. In their last series against the Coachella Valley Firebirds, they were without Rory Kerins and Martin Frk. Frk is the more likely return for this series as he was listed as day-to-day. Kerins on the other hand, was week-to-week. Brett Sutter provided an update on Kerins earlier this week on the Fan960 and said Kerins is still a few weeks from returning so he has been ruled out against the Moose.
This weekend will be the third and fourth meeting between these teams this season. They last faced each other on Feb. 14 and 16 in Winnipeg. That series resulted in a split with the Moose taking game one 5-1 and the Wranglers winning game two 3-2 in a shootout. That win kickstarted a three game winning streak for Calgary.
The Wranglers will be the fresher team going into this series as the Moose started their road trip earlier this week with a two game, back-to-back set in Abbotsford to face the Canucks. They won 4-0 in their first match-up on Tuesday and fell 4-1 in their second match-up on Wednesday. Calgary last played on Sunday against the Coachella Valley Firebirds and are looking to snap a six game losing streak.
This series starts on Friday evening and wraps up on Sunday afternoon. Friday’s game has a 7:00 p.m. MT start time and Sunday’s is a noon puck drop. Tickets are available for both of these games and you can stream them for a fee on Flo Hockey. FlamesNation contributors Ryan Pike and I will have updates on X (formerly Twitter).
