Calgary Flames hockey is back for this massive 12-game slate, including a rematch of the 2004 Stanley Cup finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Calgary has won three of its last four meetings against Tampa Bay. Can it continue its winning streak tonight?
Tonight’s confirmed goaltender match-ups for our highlighted game:
The Calgary Flames’ Jacob Markstrom (21-16-2) vs. The Tampa Bay Lightning’s Andrei Vasilevskiy (21-15-1).

Brayden Point over 2.5 shots on goal (-143)

Your $10.00 bet would return $17.00.
Brayden Point has covered this line in eight of his last nine games, averaging 3.7 shots on 5.9 shot attempts. Point has cleared at a 73% clip on home ice this season, averaging 3.2 shots on 5.2 shot attempts.
Against the Flames, Point has cleared in three of his last five games, averaging 2.6 shots on 5.6 attempts — two of these five games were in Amalie Arena, where Point had three shots in both games.
Calgary allows the 12th most shots on goal to centreman, averaging 11.3 shots per game. The Flames have moved into the top 10 in power play opportunities against over their last 10 games, averaging 3.3 per game. Point is third on the Lightning in power play shots on goal this season.

Blake Coleman point (-110)

Your $10.00 bet would return $19.09.
Blake Coleman has points in three of his last four games, all of which are goals. This Andrew Mangiapane-Mikael Backlund-Blake Coleman line has been the Flames’ best over their last few games, ranking far and above the rest of their forward core analytically.
Coleman was a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning just three seasons ago. In the five games since the trade, Coleman has points in two games, but encouragingly enough, in his two most recent games. Tampa Bay has allowed 3.8 goals against over its last 13 games, while the Flames have averaged 3.5 goals over that same span.

Last Game Recap

Cale Makar Over 2.5 Shots on Goal – WON – (+$7.00)
Lukas Dostal Over 30.5 Saves – LOSS – (-$10.00)
Dang, well, it was just so obvious to take Cale Makar over 2.5 goals instead of shots on goal, right? Makar ends the game with five shots of goal on nine shot attempts. It’s hard to blame Lukas Dostal for this loss; it was the Ottawa Senators who let us down. They managed just 12 shots on goal through two periods — they eventually figured it out by registering 18 shots in the final frame but still fell two saves short.
All-Time Record: 43-56 (-$153.87)
