Hockey Day in Canada continues with the Battle of Alberta tonight in Calgary. With a win tonight, the Edmonton Oilers could set a record for the most consecutive wins by a Canadian team. The Calgary Flames look to put an end to their lengthy win streak and their three-game skid against their division rival.

Calgary Flames & Edmonton Oilers game total over 6.5 & Leon Draisaitl point (+100)

The Flames have gone over this total in four of their last six games, while they’re scoring an average of four goals per game. The Oilers have played more defensive as of late — they’ve yet to go over this total in their last six games, but they’re averaging three goals per game. In their last five head-to-head regular season matchups, they’ve gone over this total in three games, but average 7.2 goals per game.
Leon Draisaitl has points in eight of his last 10 games, totalling 15 points. He has points in 76% of all road games this season, totalling 25 points. Against the Flames, he has points in 12 of his previous 13 meetings, totalling 34 points.

Jonathan Huberdeau point (-105)

Your $10 bet would return $19.52.
I’m bummed we missed out on Jonathan Huberdeau’s return last game, but luckily Nazem Kadri cashed for us. Huberdeau has 10 points over his most recent nine games. He has four points on his current three-game home-point streak. Against the Oilers, Huberdeau has points in five of his last eight meetings.

Dan Vladar over 27.5 saves (-133)

Your $10 bet would return $17.52.
Dan Vladar gets the start tonight for the Flames, as Jacob Markstrom is still recovering from a lower-body injury. Vladar has cleared this line in five of his last seven games, averaging 27 saves per game.
The Oilers are fourth in the league over the last ten games in shots on goal, averaging 34.7 per game. The last two seasons, the Flames have been amongst the league’s best in suppressing shots, but they’re allowing 31.0 shots per game over the previous 10 games.

Last Game Recap

Calgary Flames & Toronto Maple Leafs Game Total Over 6.5 – WIN – (+$8.00)
Nazem Kadri Point – WIN – (+7.27)
William Nylander Goal – LOSS – (-$10.00)
Kadri gets his point early as the game soars over. Nylander gets himself back on the scoresheet but with two assists and no goals. The draw was a Connor Zary disallowed goal away from cashing the +330.
As I finish writing this, Nylander has two goals against the Vancouver Canucks. We were one game too early.
All-Time Record: 13-13 (-$17.72)
