Flames weekly prospect update: NCAA, CHL playoffs underway

• While we’re waiting for Hickey to sign, read his prospect wrap-up
• The Flames also added college UFA Josh Healey
• Dillon Dube was really good this season, and was rewarded with an ELC
• Other good CHL boys: Matthew Phillips, Eetu Tuulola, Tyler Parsons, and Riley Bruce/Nick Schneider 
• Here’s some draft rankings, if you’re into that sort of thing this early
• The Heat got Garnet Hathaway back and Adam Ollas Mattsson within hours
• Emile Poirier has missed the past month on personal leave

Forwards

• Tim Harrison is no longer on the Thunder roster, as he was released from his ATO for undisclosed reasons. Shame, because he was actually performing well.
• Morgan Klimchuk led Heat forwards in scoring this week, notching a goal and two assists. Mark Jankowski was right behind, with one of each.
• Hunter Shinkaruk just can’t seem to get any luck. He’s leading the Heat in shots per game, and is on pace with other top players with regards to P/60. His shooting percentage has absolutely cratered, and he can’t seem to catch a break on the ice or from his coach. Something about those 2013 first rounders.
• Brett Pollock was reassigned to Adirondack, Daniel Pribyl is injured, so is Hunter Smith, and Poirier’s already been covered.

Defenders

• Oliver Kylington had himself a week. Four points, three of them assists, and one really sweet goal.

• Tyler Wotherspoon also had a good week by scoring two goals, but that train appears to have left the station.
• Adam Ollas Mattsson joined the Heat on an ATO, and added an assist in his first game. Scuttlebutt is that he’s pretty good.
• Continuing on the Adam trend, fantastic Mr. Fox has been lighting it up for Harvard in the Frozen Four. He’s got three points in two games, and might be Harvard’s best player as of right now. They’re two wins away from an NCAA title.
• Falkovsky didn’t appear in any games this week, Brett Kulak is still injured, and Rasmus Andersson is still in recall limbo.

Goalies

• Nothing much happened. Mason McDonald improved by three points. Jon Gillies fell behind two. These things get less fun 20+ weeks in.
