The fabulously named D’Artagnan rose from the depth of the doghouse back to the top of the Baie-Comeau depth chart. All in a tidy span of two weeks.

In case you missed it:

Zach Fischer – RW, Kansas City Mavericks, ECHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date50111115.49
Change from last week3000000-6.89
Played in three games, but didn’t pick up any points.

Spencer Foo – RW, Stockton Heat, AHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date1343736321.46
Change from last week2000000-3.9
Foo’s inconsistency thus far is almost certainly holding him back from any future NHL action. Obviously, there’s no space for him right now, but could anyone make a convincing argument for him as the second recall behind Mangiapane?

Glenn Gawdin – C/RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date1342626218.39
Change from last week2000000-3.35
Also no points for Gawdin.

Josh Healey – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date110111003.62
Change from last week1000000-0.37
Only played one game, healthy scratched for the other.

D’Artagnan Joly – RW/C, Baie-Comeau Drakkar, QMJHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date2110102013161122.18
Change from last week3235454+2.77
After a rough two weeks, in which he was healthy scratched, publicly called out by his coach, and placed on fourth line duty, Joly rebounded this week to his 2017-18 self, picking up a boatload of primary points in an all around dominant weekend for the Drakkar. It’s a good start, but hopefully he can build consistency and reestablish himself as one of the QMJHL’s better players.

Pavel Karnaukhov – LW/C, CSKA Moscow, KHL/Zvezda, VHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date (KHL)812332224.72
Change from last week
Up to date (VHL)731444417.81
Change from last week2101111-0.89
Back in the VHL as the KHL is on international break. Scored a goal.

Morgan Klimchuk – LW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date912321113.28
Change from last week2000000-3.8
Returned from injury, but didn’t make an impact on the scoresheet.

Demetrious Koumontzis – LW, Arizona State University, NCAA (Independent)

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date1216727217.27
Change from last week2000000-3.45
Another quiet week for Koumontzis.

Oliver Kylington – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date13551089830.66
Change from last week2213333+5.3
A monster game for Kylington against Ontario, where he picked up two goals and an assist in the 5-1 victory. It’s a shame there’s no space in the NHL to see what he is.

Linus Lindstrom – C/LW, Skelleftea AIK, SHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date151011112.13
Change from last week
International break.

Ryan Lomberg – LW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date1323534215.33
Change from last week2101111+0.84
Picked up his second goal in as many weeks:

Andrew Mangiapane – LW/C, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date11571289743.47
Change from last week
Injured.

Mitchell Mattson – C/LW, Michigan State, NCAA (Big 10)

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date40000000
Change from last week
Didn’t play in either of MSU’s games this weekend. There’s no injury report, but he has missed half of the Spartans’ games. Probably not a good sign.

Adam Ollas Mattsson – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date130222116.13
Change from last week2000000-1.12
Not much on-ice for AOM this week.

Mathias Emilio Pettersen – C/LW, Denver Pioneers, NCAA (NCHC)

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date8481257354
Change from last week2101010-8
For the first time this season, MEP was held pointless in a hockey game. Bummer.

Matthew Phillips – RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date101122117.97
Change from last week2112211+7.97
Picked up his first pro point and goal this weekend, and had another pretty good breakaway chance to get #3.

Martin Pospisil – C/LW, Sioux City Musketeers, USHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date15818261418839.8
Change from last week2101010-4.35
Pospisil’s high flying start to the season was halted in its tracks at game 15, the first game of the year when he did not manage to score a single point. He’s still tied for the league lead in scoring with linemate Bobby Brink.

Brett Pollock – LW/C, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date100222117.97
Change from last week2011111+2.99
Picked up another assist this week.

Rushan Rafikov – D, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, KHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date2023543316.48
Change from last week1000000-0.87
Just a game for RR before the international break.

Milos Roman – C, Vancouver Giants, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date198614811518.25
Change from last week2000000-2.14
The Giants only scored two goals this weekend, and Roman was involved in neither of them.

Adam Ruzicka – C/LW, Sarnia Sting, OHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date1831518810626.49
Change from last week20220000
While it is positive that Ruzicka has managed to maintain a point-per-game pace throughout the season (especially when he was rightfully criticized for consistency since from before his draft year to as recently as last season), it’s not as positive that a lot of those points are a) powerplay points and b) secondary powerplay points. Although his shooting percentage is at an all time low (5.56%), it is concerning that he is unable to generate offence at any other game state.

Kerby Rychel – F, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date1363956427.59
Change from last week2000000-5.02
Nothing for Rychel this week. I know I said that opportunities may be running out for Spencer Foo above, but is anyone going to be able to step up to the recall plate besides Mangiapane?

Filip Sveningsson – LW, IK Oskarshamn, Allsvenskan

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date157815511548.87
Change from last week
International break. Here’s a cool interview (google translated) about his full-time move to pro men’s hockey to tide you over.

Eetu Tuulola – RW, HPK, SM-Liiga

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date20691589527.8
Change from last week
International break. In the long shot that anyone here speaks Finnish, I would love a translation of this video of Eetu playing Q&A with one of his linemates.

Rinat Valiev – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date90000000
Change from last week20000000
Played two games.

Dmitri Zavgorodniy – C/LW, Rimouski Oceanic, QMJHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date2112183016211133.27
Change from last week2112211-1.05
A point-per-game week for Big Z. He’ll head off to represent Team Russia in their two-game bout against the best of the QMJHL this week.

Jon Gillies – G, Stockton Heat

Up to date11594.270.859

Had his undisputed best game of the year, holding Ontario to one goal on 22 shots (0.954%) but followed it up with an unfortunately all-too-familiar stinker when he let in four goals on 23 shots and was pulled for the third period. The man is an enigma.

Mason McDonald – G, Kansas City Mavericks

GPTOISV%
Up to date53060.918
Change from last week2120+0.017
Two pretty solid games for McDonald, stopping 33/36 (0.917%) and 26/27 (0.962%) for KC this weekend.

Tyler Parsons – G, Stockton Heat

GPTOISV%
Up to date3146.580.831

Out with a UBI.

Nick Schneider – G, Stockton Heat

Played a period for the Heat. Stopped all five shots.
