With some complacent bottom six scoring, injuries starting to pick up, Tobias Rieder on waivers, and a shot of life needed for the big team, could call-up season be upon us?

In case you missed it:

Dillon Dube- F, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date716733139.85
Change from last week11010100
Dube finally scored his first goal of the season, a shorthanded effort…
… and then was injured later in the period. Poor Dillon. You can temporarily leave him off the call-up list.

Lucas Feuk- LW, Södertälje SK, Superelit/Allsvenskan

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Supetelit up to date661767623.92
Change from last week
Allsvenskan up to date91010103.46
Change from last week2000000-0.99
Feuk “played” in two games for Södertälje’s senior team this week. I use scare quotes because he was listed as the extra skate, i.e. a healthy scratch. He didn’t see the ice in either game.

Glenn Gawdin- RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date826836339.85
Change from last week21121110
Keeps humming along at a point per game. With uncertainty and disappointment in the Flames’ bottom six, could there be an opening for young Gawdin?

Justin Kirkland- LW/C, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date614524233.21
Change from last week2022020-6.64
Back in action after a brief injury absence. He added two power play assist to his numbers.

Demetrious Koumontzis- LW, Arizona State University, NCAA (Independent)

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date622412019.73
Change from last week
Arizona State was off this week. They’re back in action against Quinnipiac this weekend.

Carl-Johan Lerby- D, Malmo Redhawks, SHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date1332512118.80
Change from last week2011010+1.03
Back on the scoresheet with a power play assist. He’s been doing his best work there, having collected four of his five points on the man advantage.

Linus Lindstrom- C/LW, Skelleftea AIK, SHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date1241525217.45
Change from last week2000000-2.91
Two games played for Lindstrom this week: one on the fourth line, one on the third.

Ryan Lomberg- LW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date842636329.89
Change from last week2202020+3.32
Is it beyond the pale to suggest Lomberg as a call-up option? He’s been playing good hockey so far, standing out from many of the other Flames prospects.

Mitchell Mattson- LW, Michigan State, NCAA (Big 10)

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date20000000
Change from last week00000000
Just one game played out of two for Mattson.

Andrew Nielsen- D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date80110004.98
Change from last week2011000+4.98
Nielsen picked up his first point of the season (a secondary power play assist, but still counts) in a pretty decent weekend showing for the defenceman.

Ilya Nikolayev- C, Loko, MHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date181071715131224.01
Change from last week2112222+0.18
The Flames’ most recent third round pick has yet to slow down in Russian Junior. He also got a bit more good news this week, as he was named alongside three other teammates for Russia’s roster in the upcoming Four Nations tournament.

Joshua Nodler- C/RW, Michigan State

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date40110106.83
Change from last week2000000-6.82
Nothing doing for Nodler this week besides a shot on goal.

Jakob Pelletier- LW, Moncton Wildcats, QMJHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date139132213171239.41
Change from last week3156252+2.15
I think the best thing about Pelletier is how easy he makes it look.

Mathias Emilio Pettersen- C/LW, Denver Pioneers, NCAA (NCHC)

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date615634336
Change from last week
Denver was also off this week. They’re ranked #1 in the NCAA and face Niagara this weekend.

Matthew Phillips- RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date834746434.87
Change from last week2022121+1.66
Two assists for Phillips this week. He’s less likely to get a call-up, but depending on the nature of Dube’s injury, it could open a door.

Luke Philp- C, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date60000000
Change from last week20000000
It’s a young season, but Philp is struggling to make an impact anywhere on the ice. I wonder if ECHL time could be helpful.

Martin Pospisil- C/LW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date60000000
Change from last week00000000
Out injured, likely because of the brutal knockout he suffered.

Milos Roman- C, Vancouver Giants, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date16751259518.57
Change from last week2011000-0.89
A lone secondary power play assist for Roman this week.

Adam Ruzicka- C, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date803320014.95
Change from last week2022100+8.31
Ruzicka finally picked up some points again, registering two secondary assists this week. He’s generally seeing power play time and third line minutes, for what it’s worth.

Filip Sveningsson- LW, IK Oskarshamn, SHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date121122226.98
Change from last week2011111-1.17
After two positive weeks, Sveningsson took a step back. Hopefully he can break through soon.

Eetu Tuulola- RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date841534224.91
Change from last week2101010-1.65
Another week, another goal for Tuulola. I think he’s the furthest realistic option for a call-up right now (he has only played eight North American games), but a few more strong weeks and he’s definitely in the conversation.

Rinat Valiev- D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date80110006.64
Change from last week2000000-1.66
Another quiet weekend for Valiev.

Alexander Yelesin- D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date81121219.96
Change from last week2000000-3.32
Also quiet. The Flames better hope one of their prospect defenceman can step up soon enough.

Dmitri Zavgorodniy- C/RW, Rimouski Oceanic, QMJHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date1612193118211445.12
Change from last week3213222-5.04
Zavgorodniy finally fell below two points per game, scoring a mere one point per game.

Jon Gillies- G, Stockton Heat

GPTOISV%
Up to date2124.80.931
Change from last week164.8-0.27
Gillies’ redemption tour took a brief detour with a .900SV% in his one game this week (18/20). He did stop seven of 11 Bakersfield shooters in a shootout, however.

Tyler Parsons- G, Kansas City Mavericks

Lower body injury, week to week.

Nick Schneider- G, Kansas City Mavericks/Stockton Heat

GPTOISV%
ECHL Up to date1600.96

AHL Up to date443.350.938

A rough week for Schneider in the ECHL. He started all three games for the Mavericks, but allowed four goals on 29 shots in the first game (0.862) and four on 21 shots the next (0.810). His third game was a bounceback performance, stopping 37 of 39 (0.949) though he still picked up the loss as KC couldn’t score more than one goal.

Dustin Wolf- G, Everett Silvertips, WHL

GPTOISV%
Up to date10581.530.945
Change from last week1600
Ho hum, just stopping 34 of 36 (0.944) in his one game played this week. His lowest save percentage in October is 0.936, by the way.

Artyom Zagidulin- G, Stockton Heat

GPTOISV%
Up to date6314.90.883
Change from last week159.73-0.006
Despite picking up the win, Zagidulin did not play his best against Bakersfield, with a 0.850SV% (17 of 20).
