FlamesNation Prospect Update: The quest to 100

Scoring in the triple digits as a prospect is usually a very positive sign. The Flames have two such prospects who could reach that mark. Sounds pretty good.

In case you missed it

Rasmus Andersson – D, Stockton Heat, AHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current38422261613926.37
Change from last week2011100-0.39
Just an assist for Andersson this week.

Austin Carroll – RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current213144447.34
Change from last week21122223.28
Austin Carroll’s been in the doghouse all year, but his recent good performances should allow him to keep his place in the lineup (once he returns from injury, hopefully). A goal and an assist this week, with the goal being pretty slick:

Dillon Dube – C/LW, Kelowna Rockets, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current3422285026371834.97
Change from last week3134242-0.38
If you prorate Dube’s production over the course of a full WHL season (72 games), he would finish with 105 points. That would make him one of three Flames WHL prospects to (theoretically) hit that goal.

Zach Fischer – RW, Spokane Chiefs, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current4322143625252019.91
Change from last week1000000-0.47
One game, no points for Fischer.

Spencer Foo – RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current4112122412211022.56
Change from last week2000000-1.16
No points for Foo this week, but still ripped off 11 shots in two games. He’s the team leader in that regard, having passed 100 last game. The next closest forward, Hunter Shinkaruk, is 12 behind. He’s on pace to surpass last year’s Stockton Heat shot leader, Mark Jankowski, by 12 shots. That’s pretty good.

Adam Fox – D, Harvard Crimson, ECAC

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current190121255111.91
Change from last week2000000-1.4
Fox didn’t hit the scoresheet again this week, and wasn’t even on the ice for a single goal (for or against), but did rip off six shots.

Glenn Gawdin – C/RW, Swift Current Broncos, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current5344539751723843.52
Change from last week34374540.72
With a hat trick this week, Gawdin is just three points away from 100. He’s now just a single point out of the WHL scoring lead, behind former Flames rookie camp invitee Brayden Burke. The Flames may just love WHLers with alliterative names.

Josh Healey – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current310110101.24
Change from last week2000000-0.09
Played two games.

Jaromir Jagr – RW, Rytiri Kladno, Czech.1

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current103331169.37
Change from last week
Still technically a Flame! Three assists this week, might be an NHLer sometime soon.

D’Artagnan Joly – RW, Baie-Comeau Drakkar, QMJHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current4016314724382024.71
Change from last week10000000.41
Joly barely played one period when (according to google-translated articles and tweets) a crosscheck sent him to the hospital. The injury, undisclosed, is not as bad as feared and the Drakkar are expecting him back on the ice soon-ish. Also check out this interesting article on Joly, but run it through a translator first.

Pavel Karnaukhov – LW/C, CSKA Moscow, KHL/Zvezda, VHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
KHL current1102221111.03
Change from last week00000000
VHL current3512183018241426.71
Change from last week2000000-1.62
Karnaukhov’s slump enters week four, as he only has one point in his last seven VHL games.

Morgan Klimchuk – LW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current4213142717211424.78
Change from last week21122220.69
Klimchuk had a rough few weeks, but is back in business with two points this week.

Oliver Kylington – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current372202214151122.92
Change from last week00000000
Kylington did not play this week, as he was in Sweden on personal leave. He left during the AHL all-star weekend, but has returned and did practice yesterday.

Linus Lindstrom – C/LW, Skelleftea AIK, SHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current323143325.95
Change from last week31010101.03
Lindstrom potted a powerplay goal this week, his first point in about two months.

Ryan Lomberg – LW, Stockton Heat – X

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current375914128614.57
Change from last week1000000-0.41
Still in the NHL. Probably in the Freddie Hamilton Memorial Role.

Andrew Mangiapane – LW/C, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current3116193520261643.51
Change from last week00000000
Now back in the AHL. An honest review of his NHL time was that he’s still not just quite ready yet. It’s probably for the best given that he wasn’t going to get much more than 10 minutes a night. Some might be disappointed, but it’s really the best for all involved.

Mitchell Mattson – C/LW, Sioux Falls Stampede, USHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current388101815161310.88
Change from last week2000000-0.6
No points for Mattson this week.

Adam Ollas Mattsson – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date140000000
Change from last week00000000
Injured.

Matthew Phillips – C/RW, Victoria Royals, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current5438478534632737.43
Change from last week33252420.13
Phillips had a repeat performance, potting three goals and two assists in three games just as he did last week. He also scored a shorthanded goal, just like he did the week before:
Also technically from over a week ago, but the clip only came up after the prospect update was published. Here’s some sweet hand-eye coordination from Phillips:

Emile Poirier – LW/RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current41413171015915.98
Change from last week21011110.18
Poirier broke a long goal scoring drought, scoring his first goal since December.

Brett Pollock – LW/C, Stockton Heat, AHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current2042634111.56
Change from last week2000000-1.29
After his four-goal outburst, Pollock recorded zero points over the weekend.

Daniel Pribyl – RW/C, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current00000000
Still injured.

Rushan Rafikov – D, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, KHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current3611011107618.54
Change from last week00000000
Ditto.

Adam Ruzicka – C/LW, Sarnia Sting, OHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date4831275827492329.73
Change from last week3112121-0.88
Just a goal and an assist for Ruzicka this week. Here are both of them:

Hunter Shinkaruk – F, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date401282013161219.27
Change from last week2000000-0.99
Nothing this week for Shinkaruk.

Hunter Smith – RW, Kansas City Mavericks, ECHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date35981713171311.15
Change from last week00000000
Out, injured.

Filip Sveningsson – LW, HV71, Superelit/SHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
SHL current110000000
Change from last week00000000
Superelit current2813213420261619.91
Change from last week21453431.62
An impressive five points for Sveningsson in HV71’s two games this week.

Eetu Tuulola – RW, HPK, SM-Liiga

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current4013821715618.51
Change from last week32021210.4
Eetu added two more goals this week. He’s top five in scoring and PPG for U20 SM-Liiga players, which is pretty good.

Juuso Valimaki – D, Tri-City Americans, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current22517221114623.78
Change from last week3022200-1.25
Should return this week from injury.

Tyler Wotherspoon – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current42422261314923.86
Change from last week2000000-1.19
A rare point-less week from Wotherspoon.

Jon Gillies – G, Stockton Heat

GPTOISV%SA
Current291658.850.915869
Change from last week121.18-0.00211
Gillies’ struggles continue, as he was yanked from his one game this week after allowing three goals on 11 shots. I’m chalking this up to the Heat being depleted in addition to him being the only goalie in Stockton for a good long month.

Mason McDonald – G, Kansas City Mavericks/Stockton Heat

GPTOISV%SA
Current2212840.892581
Change from last week165038
Back in Kansas with the goalie dust hopefully settling. He allowed four goals on 38 shots, good for a .895 SV%.

Tyler Parsons – G, Stockton Heat/Kansas City Mavericks

GPTOISV%SA
ECHL Current2212130.908655
Change from last week1600.00224
AHL Current4176.50.89888
Change from last week298.820.05443
Parsons, after stopping 23 of 24 (0.958) in the ECHL, started his second AHL game and had a great run of it. He was lit up in his first AHL game, but stopped 32 of 34 (0.941) this time around, after stopping nine shots in relieving Gillies the game prior.

Nick Schneider – G, Calgary Hitmen, WHL

GPTOISV%SA
Current4625840.8831381
Change from last week21170.00173
A pretty good week for Schneider, who stopped 30 of 33 (0.909) and 36 of 40 (0.900) in a weekend series against Vancouver.
